Do you really need insurance?

Suitable insurance coverage--protection for you and those who depend on you--is a key element of financial fitness. If you fall into any of the following categories, you probably need insurance.

You're married with young children. They'll need money for support and education should something happen to either parent.

You're part of a couple with one income and dependents.

You are an older parent of young children. You'll want to ensure that you have enough money to support and educate your children when you're in your 60s and 70s.

You're single with dependents. They'll need money to support them, to send them to college, or to provide special care if you die prematurely or become disabled.

You're one of a two-income couple with dependents. You'll
want to ensure that you or your partner can maintain your
lifestyle if one income is lost through death or disability.

You're retired. Your partner will need enough money to
maintain his/her lifestyle after you die.

You're wealthy. You'll want to make sure that your heirs
have enough money to pay your estate taxes without having to use the money you're leaving to them.

You've just finished college and graduate school. You may
want to make sure your parents or partner won't have to pay your education debts should you die or become disabled before you've paid them off.

Your family will need money to maintain their lifestyle if the wage-earner dies or becomes disabled.
